MASTER CHEF AT HOME SERIES


Ola Everyone!


I'm happy and excited to inform you that I'll be moving into my new Homekitchen very shortly.  I cannot wait to show it to you because not only will it be much more conducive and spacious, it will also be the cover of my upcoming recipe book "Jen's Kitchen Spirit" pastel drawn by our Mia.

To celebrate and make warm this kitchen, I am now officially launching my Master Chefs At Home Series.  This series comprises of 9 unique courses where YOU are always the MAIN ingredient!  In comfort and a relaxed atmosphere, you and I will build cooking and baking confidence, understanding your ingredients, combining flavours, textures, components, presentations and much much more.  Master Chefs at Home Series is aimed at promoting your imagination and to bring out all of your personal flairs.  We take a group of 10 passionate and enthusiastic persons at any one time.  Classes are designed for adults.

If you've stagnated in your kitchen, you are tired of cooking and eating the same food over and over again, come and join me on an intuitive and instinctive Homekitchen culinary adventure that promises sheer delight and results every time!

Folks, the hardest place to grow is at home and besides it's only natural that we're always looking for ways to grow outside of ourselves mostly for others to see. To top it off, growing from the inside out is intimate, spiritual, pivotal, life changing and takes tremendous courage; so it's not the easiest thing to do. I want you to know that I understand all that but you know what...You can do it, for sure!

"Inaugural Introductory Class" - 12th December 2010 @ Only RM380


A Full Course Dinner Meal - Menu - Starters - Mini Herbs and Cheese Quiches, Sides - Fresh Garden Salad and Crème Fraiche Mashed Potatoes, Main - Stuffed Roast Chicken, Dessert - Molten Chocolate Soufflé and Lava Cakes

Class Description - Coffee morning and indulge yourself with Scones fresh from Jen's oven.  Put on your apron and class proper kicks off with a chicken deboning demo by Brabon, you get to marinade, work with your stuffing; and stuff, stitching or trussing your chicken.  Roll out the dough, make your shells, whip up your newest and most delicious all time favourite fruit dressing, learn about Crème Fraiche and make the silkiest of Mashed Potatoes and finally attempt one of the most perfect chocolate desserts ever.  You get to take home recipes, techniques and information about special ingredients and your very own Whole Stuffed Chicken!  HOMECOOKED FOOD IS MADE WITH LOVE AND CARE!

"The Art of Pie and Pastry Making" - 9th January 2011 @ Only RM450

Menu - Mushroom Tartlets, Lemon Pucker Pielets, Apple Butter Pecan Crisp and Lamb Shepherd's Pie 

Class Description - Coffee Morning and sample a taste of the world's classic Homemade Brioche!  This class is guaranteed to stop you from thinking "if only I can" because you surely CAN!  Before the day is over, you would have developed a sense of dough AND you will know the goodness of making and eating wonderful pastry.  You will learn about Techniques, Special Ingredients, Equipment, Fillings and Toppings, Sauces and Glazes.  Put on your apron and learn hands on HOW to make tender and flaky Pie Crusts, quick Puff Pastry, Savoury Tartlets, Meringue Pielets, Fruit Pie and Savory Pie.  You will take home the most delicious of recipes, secrets and a Whole Apple Pecan Crisp Pie or a Whole Lamb Shepherd's PieTHE BEST PASTRY IS MADE AT HOME!

Cakes and Cake Decorating" - 14th February 2011 @ Only RM450

Menu - New York Cheesecake, Sticky Date Pudding and Ethereal Pear Bavarian

Class Description - Coffee Morning with Buttermilk Pancakes then put on your apron and get ready to make the most beloved and timeless of all American Cheesecake, Australia's most famous pudding and Europe's most complex and elegant Charlotte!  This class is guaranteed to raise your palette to heights you have never imagined and you will never ever buy or eat another cake that is not made DELICIOUS!  You will learn how to whip up the yummiest complementary adornments such as Poached Pears, Biscuit Roulade, White Chocolate Cream Cheese Buttercream, Caramel Sauce, Bavarian Cream; the components list is just too long.  You will take home slices of your efforts and a brand new heavenly baker!  YOU GOT TO MAKE IT TO BELIEVE IT!     

"Desserts, Desserts, Desserts" - 13th March 2011 @ Only RM450

Menu - Bread and Butter Pudding, Chocolate Strawberry Pavlova and Panna Cotta

Class Description - Assemble with Coffee morning and enjoy some Yummy Premium Chicken Sausages and Eggs.  Put on your apron, roll up your sleeves and never look back because you've got what it takes!  We will slice, spread, melt, sprinkle, spin, grate, mix, whip, chill, bake and TOP!  You will learn how to make 1st class components and dress up your desserts.  We will make Chocolate Sauce, Crème Anglaise, Chocolate Meringues, Strawberry Coulis and Maple Custards.  You will bring home a feast of desserts and a smile to last a lifetime.  You will be proud of yourself.  EVERYONE WILL LOVE AND ADORE YOU!    

"Chocolates!"  - 10th April 2011 @ Only RM450

Menu - Jewel Chocolates, Dates stuffed with Almonds and dipped in Belgian Chocolates and Chocolate Leaves

Class Description - We'll begin with Coffee Morning and Spring Rolls.  Put on your apron and take a deep breath because this class is aimed at bringing out the creative artist in YOU.  We will work with all kinds of chocolates and discuss them.  You will learn all about working in ideal room temperatures, how chocolate behaves and how to control them by melting and tempering them.  You will paint, dip and mould chocolates.  When you're finished you will be able to decorate with chocolates, you would have acquired some skills of making your own chocolates and presenting them as occasional gifts.  GO AHEAD AND BLOW YOUR MIND!     

"Grilling and Barbeques" - 11th September 2011 @ Only RM450

Menu - Grilled Salmon, Shoulder Lamb Chops, Spicy Mexican Chicken Wings, Grilled Roasted Whole Garlic with Herbs, Grilled Vegetables, Pumpkins and Potatoes

Class Description - We'll first indulge in Coffee Morning and a good helping of some delicious spicy Ale Olio with Chicken Ham.  We'll put on our aprons and learn all about marinating different meat, vegetables and potatoes with onions, garlic, spices and fresh herbs.  We'll talk about Olive oils and their many uses.  You will learn how to clean and cut meat, chop, dice and pound onions and garlic and get to know the many varieties of excellent spices and herbs for the best grilled and barbeque food you have yet to sample.  Once we are ready, we will go outdoors and roll out the barbeque pit, learn how to use it; and perfume the entire neighborhood with the irresistible aromas of meat, herbs and spices! You can eat your way home or take them home.  You will discover the meaning of the Great Outdoors!  NOTHING BEATS A SUNDAY EVENING BARBEQUE!

"Cooking in Tuscany" -  9th October 2011 @ Only RM600

Menu - Chicken alla Contadina, "Dania", and Caramel Gelato with Strawberry Flambé or Tiramisu

Indulge yourself in a Tuscan Coffee Morning!  Put on your apron, gather around the table, get wrist-deep in pasta dough and learn Tuscan cooking from the source.  You'll learn first-hand how to make Gnocchi or/and Tagliatelli or/and Pici -thick strings of handmade eggless pasta made originally in the area of Montefollonico.  I will share with you Tuscan regional techniques, ingredients, and family recipes that have been passed down over the centuries.  VISITING TUSCANY IS ONE DREAM, COOKING TUSCAN IS ANOTHER DREAM!

"Spanish Tapas Party" - 13th November 2011 @ Only RM600

Menu - Croquetas de Pollo, Albondigas, Gambas al Ajillo, Tortilla de Patatas, Champinones ala Crème, Berenjenas Rebozadas and Bacalao Alioli  

Class Description - Coffee Morning and toast with Spanish Jam!  Don your apron and learn about Andalusia and Tapas!  Chicken Croquettes, Beef Balls, Spanish Potato Omelets, Grilled Cod Fish, Sizzling Prawns, Mushrooms, Spinach, Avocados, Mozzarella and Tomatoes are some of the dishes and ingredients of 7 authentic Spanish Tapas recipes!  You will learn how to create small size food with full size flavors, simple yet complicated.  A MEMORABLE GOURMET AFTERNOON!

"French Symphony" - 11th December 2011 @ Only RM600

Menu - 3 course French Cuisine

Class Description - French Coffee of course and French bread fresh from Jen's Oven. Put on your apron and together we'll pay tribute to the making of traditional French Cuisine, matching both traditional and trendy recipes!  You can expect to learn and make Onions and Anchovies Tart, Pissaladiere, Bouf Bourguignon or Chicken made-in-Normandy, Tarte Tatin or Creme Brulée OR Crepes Suzette!  You will cover some history; learn about the classics and most importantly food presentation.  You will take home Skills, Secrets and Recipes originating from Le Cordon Blue in Paris.  IN FRENCH COOKING IT'S ALL ABOUT THE PRESENTATION AND BUILDING CONFIDENCE!

All classes includes light Breakfast and Lunch and you get to take home your efforts.  You're welcome to attend and select individual classes.  But if you should decide to sign up for the entire Master Chefs At Home Series, you will get to be invited to Jen's Kitchen Spirit Launch as my VIP guest and receive a complimentary copy of "Jen's Kitchen Spirit" recipe book.
